An exhibition just opened in this museum, also known as the Diaspora Museum, or the Museum of the Jewish People, that documents how Israeli agents kidnapped Eichmann in 1960 from where he was living in hiding and then put him on trial in Jerusalem. Eichmann, who was charged with the mass round-up, deportation to concentration camps and the extermination of European Jews during the Holocaust of World War II, was executed by hanging after his trial in 1962, for crimes against humanity.
